The World Food Championships

The 2013 World Food Championships took place Nov. 7 through 10 in downtown Las Vegas at the Fremont Street Experience and Fremont East Entertainment district. The world's largest live event food competition — featuring a $300,000 prize purse — brought out more than 300 competitors, 350 judges, 25 food celebrities, plus thousands of "foodies" to Las Vegas for the annual culinary crescendo to thousands of food festivals and competitions that take place around the globe.

Based on FSE data, the World Food Championships averaged about 25,000 attendees per day throughout the multiple zones and competitions, all while being filmed by Core Media Group/Sharp Entertainment for a six-episode TV series to air on the A&E family of networks in Spring of 2014.

World’s Championship Chili Cookoff

Over 50,000 Chiliheads can’t be wrong; the World’s Championship Chili Cookoff is more than just a chili tournament. It’s the epicenter of everything we love about America’s favorite dish: originality, fun and lots of spice. It’s no wonder the WCCC has become one of the world’s largest food contest festivals. Over the course of a year, over 200 events sanctioned by the International Chili Society lead up to this weekend-long event celebrating all things chili. And each year when the simmering finally stops, ICS crowns the World’s Best Chili Cook.

Event sponsors have a number of outlets for creating impressions with chili enthusiasts, including samplings, demonstrations, pre- and post-event publicity and integration opportunities.
